This section is very important - please read it all
All the work of writing a screenplay goes into creating the words that go on the paper. Yet once it is done, a screenplay can be copied at almost no cost. The cost of a screenplay cannot be measured in the cost of duplicating it.
All the work of writing Screen Writer Studio is done. Now that it is done, it can be copied at almost no cost. But that does not mean that it should be free.
In a perfect world there would be no inconvenience for people who purchased Screen Writer Studio and others would not be able to use it. Unfortunately that is not possible. So we have come up with a solution that we believe causes little to no inconvenience for legitimate users and will minimize the number of illegal copies in use.
To use Screen Writer Studio you need to enter your name and password. You pick your name. We give you a password. The combination allows you to run Screen Writer Studio with no problems. No need for key disks. No need for a CD in the drive. No codes to read from a manual.
However, to work, it requires that you do not give out your password. If you give out your password, you are doing the same thing as someone giving out your screenplay and telling a studio they can have it for free.
To help enforce this policy, passwords that are found circulating will be marked in upgrades and the upgrades will not run under that password. We will also shut off the tech support site to passwords that are circulating.
In short, don’t tell anyone your password.
