The script is printed on paper. This defines how the script is printed on the paper. The paper settings are part of the style.
First you define the size and orientation of the paper. This will default to 8½ x 11 if you are running the U.S. version of Windows and A4 under all other versions of windows. In both cases, the default orientation is portrait.
Second, you define the margins of the paper. The margins set the part of the paper that the script is printed on. All paragraph formatting is set in relation to the inner edge of the margins, not the edge of the paper. Changing the margins will shift the entire script on the page.
Third you set the location of the header and how to do the page numbering.
Note: The dialog box accessed by File, Printer Setup is used to set the default printer. It is not used to set the paper size and orientation. This is a standard Windows dialog box so we have to use it for printer selection but we ignore it for paper size.
